INDEPENDENT CANALSIDE VENUE IN HACKNEY WICK
Repurposed from a canalside factory and built by artists, Grow is an independent bar, kitchen and grassroots music venue on the River Lea. Since 2014, we’ve been part of Hackney Wick’s creative landscape, bringing together food, drinks, live music, DJs, art, sustainability and community under one roof.
FOOD, DRINKS AND LIVE MUSIC BY THE CANAL
Come for brunch, lunch, evening plates, organic wines, craft beers, cocktails and low/no drinks, then stay for live music, DJs, jazz, workshops and cultural gatherings. Our programme moves through eclectic global sounds all year round, with a focus on emerging artists, local crews and community-led culture.
CLOSE TO EAST BANK, OLYMPIC PARK AND STRATFORD
Visiting Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, East Bank, Sadler’s Wells East, V&A East, UCL East, London College of Fashion or Stratford? Grow is a short walk away in Hackney Wick, around 2 to 4 minutes from Hackney Wick Overground. Join us before or after your visit for food, drinks, music and canalside seating by the River Lea.
BRUNCH, LUNCH AND EVENING PLATES
Settle into our garden terrace, greenhouse, mezzanine or warehouse space and enjoy seasonal dishes inspired by Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and British flavours. Whether you’re looking for brunch in Hackney Wick, food near Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, drinks before an East Bank event or somewhere independent after Stratford, Grow offers a warm, relaxed alternative to the area’s bigger bars, breweries and venues.
ORGANIC WINES, CRAFT BEERS AND COCKTAILS
Our drinks menu brings together organic wines, craft beers, house specials, cocktails, local suppliers, soft drinks and low or no-alcohol options. It works just as well for daytime visits, after-work drinks, weekend sessions and late nights by the canal.
SUSTAINABLE, INDEPENDENT AND BUILT BY ARTISTS
Grow runs on solar and green energy, pays the London Living Wage and supports local suppliers, grassroots culture and the local economy. Spending time here helps keep independent culture alive in Hackney Wick while supporting a venue built around music, sustainability, community and care for the planet.
