MONDAY 28 NOVEMBER 6.30-9.30PM

Over 2022, Grow, Hackney is hosting 10 workshops for Hackney residents to join makers, producers, musicians, artists and activists and participant in an introductory creative activity and enjoy a communal meal together.

Sign up for a Cut ‘n’ Paste Zine Making to NFT Workshop with artist Pete Bennett.

Back in the day, before the internet, armed with a pair of scissors, glue sticks and the humble photocopier, enthusiasts around the globe communicated via a world of DIY fanzines, posters and flyers. Learn the basic skills of this lost art form in a two hour workshop.

You will then learn how to create and edit your zine into a digital piece of art and turn it into an NFT for sale in the digital marketplace using basic smartphone technology. The workshop will demystify the process of minting images into the much talked about Non Fungible Token (NFT).

A healthy and nutritious vegan/veggie meal will also come as part of the evening where Pete will be joining you so you can follow up questions.
