A night of music you didn’t know you wanted to hear.
A brand new night which celebrates lesser known disco, boogie, funk & gospel tracks from all around the world.
With some top class selectors playing all off vinyl including:
Female double-decking vinyl DJs playing proper music for proper dancing.
Committed collectors, the girls have brought some much needed freshness to dance floors all over London and the UK, stepping up the tempo one 7" at a time. Spinning the very best in Soul, Funk, Boogie, Jazz and Gospel, all mixed together with a healthy dose of Disco — the kind of soulful shenanigans that keep you out 'til the lights come on.
The pair host a bi-weekly show on ‘Soho Radio’ and are regularly seen guesting at some of London's best underground Soul and Disco nights including the legendary Faith parties & the ever growing Brixton Disco Festival.
They have graced the decks at places such as KOKO, XOYO, The Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scotts and The Jazz Cafe; as well as festivals such as Glastonbury, Field Day, Cross The Tracks, Baltic Soul Weekender and The Soundcrash Funk & Soul Weekender.
They have played alongside the likes of Norman Jay MBE, Nightmares On Wax, Dimitri From Paris, Craig Charles, Greg Wilson & Jazzy B OBE and have warmed up for legendary acts such as Lee Fields, Brenda Holloway & Ann Sexton.
Expect unashamed energy and rascalish behaviour from the outset.
Lad about town, Perri Kaye is often seen DJing at some of London’s top parties. Devoted to the sounds of the 60s, 70s and 80s and labels like Stax, Motown and Atlantic. Expect to be taken on a vinyl fuelled funk & disco excursion. Fresh from filling the tent to the brim in Glasto - he’s been busy adding to his already impressive record collection for this very night.
When Buddy love isn’t grafting away on a building site (usually accompanied with a soulful soundtrack), you’ll find him guest DJing at top parties for the likes of ‘Depford Northern Soul Club’ & ‘Coco Motion’.
Last year saw Buddy teaming up with ‘Miles Away Records’ to release a rare and unreleased soul gem from Dyson’s Faces on 7inch.
You can’t miss him - the Del Boy of the soul scene…..He’ll be the one wearing an array of gold jewellery, a flat cap & smoking a rollie.
