EAST LONDON WATERWORKS PARK FUNDRAISER W/ ABDOULAYE SAMB LIVE

  • Grow 98c Wallis Road London, England, E9 5LN United Kingdom (map)

Fancy transforming a local industrial site into community-owned swimming ponds and biodiverse nature park? Join us for live music and entertainment in support of East London Waterworks Park. It will be an evening of surprises. Let’s sing, dance and grow together to make this dream a reality.

Abdoulaye Samb

Guitarist, singer and composer from Senegal. Abdoulaye's original music is inspired by Fula and Mandinka cultures and his distinctive musical style has grown out of his travels, collaborations and researches in Africa and Europe. Abdoulaye plays a truly remarkable Senegalese Blues, which draws on elements of the rich Fula tradition interwoven with Rumba, Mbalax, Afro-Latin and deep blues.

Leo Lore

Leo was raised in the quiet flatlands of Norfolk, his home life was far from quiet though – a melting pot of cultures courtesy of his English Father and his Mother’s Yemeni and Romanian heritage, his home was filled with the musical loves of his siblings. This lifelong fusion of cultures is key to his music – smooth soul sounds that fuse flavours from around the world. Delivering frank lyrics from the heart, Lore finds himself comfortably nestled between the old and the new, mixing polished sounds with raw but soothing vocals, offering solace whilst wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Olivia Daly

Olivia spins a fusion of melodic trance, funky dance and disco, with a musical mission to move you both emotionally and physically. Her enchanting mixes of contemporary tracks are glittered with foreign beats from sunnier lands (Nigeria, Spain etc) and sprinkled with samples of historic hits made anew with contagious riffs.
