As we go into a difficult January for many, in solidarity with our community we’re making Grow a free entry venue for the entire month. From our weekly jazz session, to a number of inclusive mid week events such as a chess club and a sewing circle, to outrageously fun get downs every weekend courtesy of our favourite DJs. We'll also be announcing offers on food and drink over the month so ensure to keep up to date by following us on Instagram and signing up to our email newsletter.
We welcome the team from Vandelay Radio as they bring their Good Music Club event to light up our dancefloor and nourish our souls for the first week of Join In January.
Vandelay Radio is a non-profit community based online radio station established in 2018 from a student bedroom in Swansea, Wales, currently based in London via Bristol. Since their inception they have hosted live shows at E1 and Peckham Audio.
Broadcasting worldwide, Vandelay Radio provides a platform for DJs, producers and anyone interested in music to have their sounds and thoughts shared to a global audience, regardless of where they are and most importantly, who they are.
Good Music Club is partly inspired by Blues Parties, where Jamaican migrants to the UK in the '50s and '60s started gathering in houses and basements to hear music from home not heard in mainstream clubs and Baithaks, an age-old Indian tradition of musician & dancers to sit together, create music & listen each other without prejudice.
With Good Music Club, we aim to continue this tradition of soundtracking conviviality by playing music in spaces where
people can drink, eat, talk, laugh and most importantly dance and appreciate good music across all genres.
The first iteration of Good Music Club was held at Behind This Wall, Hackney, home to Joy Division producer Martin Hannett's vintage Tannoy Gold. They now hold a residency at Next Door Records, a record shop and bar in West London where they host Good Music Club every month.

Our Spice Trail Menu is predominantly plant based, with some ethically sourced meat options, as part of our conscious drive towards sustainability. Our passion is for the cooking of the Middle East and southern Mediterranean so expect punchy flavours, warm spices and as always the best ingredients we can find to comfort and nourish the soul.
With our drinks, we partner with breweries St Austell and Signature Brew for our lagers and IPAs and serve organic wine and prosecco which help international wildlife charity, Born Free. We design our spin on such drinks as Rum Punch, homemade Hackney Spiced Rum, Vegan White Russian and Espresso Martini.
