WAH WAH LIVE W/ YOUTHSAYERS, DOM SERVINI & EVES DROP COLLECTIVE

  • Grow 98c Wallis Road London, England, E9 5LN United Kingdom (map)

Well respected, soulful independent record label Wah Wah 45s begin a new residency at Grow this September. In the coming months they’ll be showcasing live acts and DJs from inside and outside of the imprint with their trademark uplifting, family feel.

Kicking things off on September 8th are musicians from the Youthsayers project, an initiative set up by Wah Wah’s very own Soothsayers a decade ago to give South London youth the opportunity to learn an instrument and play together in a band. The result is an ever evolving ensemble who take on material from the likes of Fela Kuti, Theon Cross and of course their Soothsayers mentors themselves.

On the decks will be Wah Wah 45s label boss Dom Servini, a DJ, promoter, radio host and music journalist with three decades of experience in the game. He’ll be joined by special guests, and darlings of the We Out Here festival, Eve’sDrop Collective - an all-female DJ and MC crew who have been lighting up parties up and down the country for the last couple of years. DJs Sweet P, Duchy & Amazon will be with us for what should be unforgettable event, and the first of many to come!
