Quote by Big Wowie! founder, Nathan Lang:
“The philosophy of Big Wowie! has always been to celebrate joy and creativity through comedy whilst connecting the local community. So I’m thrilled with this new partnership with the ethical and Hackney-based INTUNE Drinks, and Hackney Night Shelter, the vital charity we have supported since 2018 in their work for Hackney’s homeless. We’ve been with our wonderful venue Grow since the very beginning, and couldn’t do this without our shared commitment to providing inclusive and accessible entertainment, and always putting people over profit. Our comedians are expert in engaging the audience and keeping us in the moment, and INTUNE’s CBD drinks will enhance the experience we create at each Big Wowie! cabaret.”
Quote by INTUNE founder, Hannah:
“We are delighted to be partnering with Grow and Big Wowie! on their programme of uplifting canal-side cabaret, raising money for Hackney Night Shelter. INTUNE is a local small business producing fruity botanical CBD drinks and mixers, which we find help us to feel more present in the moment. We can’t wait to share our drinks with more people in our community at this unmissable series of events.”
Quote by Director of Hackney Night Shelter, Henry Brown:
“For over 25 years we’ve offered a safe, welcoming place for people experiencing homelessness. With the valued support of volunteers, we offer more than a bed and a hot meal but also professional support to help our guests rebuild their lives and move towards a more sustainable lifestyle. We don’t receive any statutory funding and are extremely grateful for the generous giving from the local community at large. We’re proud to be a partner in this exciting project.”
Quote by Grow co-founding director, Jordanna Greaves:
“We’re so excited for this collaboration and immensely enjoy working with Nathan and his performers who bring the best of emerging and established comedic talent to our stage. With the addition of INTUNE we can extend our reach giving more people access to the cabaret scene in our unique canalside venue whilst fundraising for this vital local charity too!”
About INTUNE
INTUNE was set up in January 2020 by Hannah, our founder who discovered CBD when she was having treatment for breast cancer. Hannah brought together a group of taste experts to bring CBD to the world in great tasting drinks – to help people be present in the moment. As a small business, they work hard to be as sustainable as possible. They’ve got our little CBD float, Cosmo, who is fully electric who they use him to make local deliveries around our INTUNE HQ in the heart of Shoreditch – Cleeve Workshops, and use recyclable packaging to be as conscious of our local environment as possible. They love being in our Hackney borough, filled with creative energy which helps us think innovatively and reminding us to push boundaries and to have fun whilst doing so – collaborating with artists, musicians, performers and bar tenders to be more than just a drink, but to be a community of forward thinkers.
