Join us for Open House Festival 2024 and help celebrate London’s housing, architecture and neighbourhoods. We join the festival each year to explore Grow’s history, heritage and contemporary context.
Meet some GROW STUDIO artists who shaped us into what we are today and see the usually hidden repurposed warehouses we have inhabited since 2007.
Artists involved include Xenz, Rosemary Clunie, Gionatan Scali, Yasuko Arawara of Studio U and Sara Hoque.

What is Grow Studios?
Did you know Grow Studios was founded in 2007 by two locals living and working in Hackney Wick? The studios were repurposed from two empty warehouses - one was a commercial printers; the other a sausage factory backing onto the Lea Navigation canal. The studios were borne out of a DIY self-organising ethos to create useful and sustainable spaces for its tenants. GROW is a unit of these studios and a space to bring grassroots music, art and people together, operated as an experiment in ethical and sustainable business.
What’s going on at Grow on Sat 21 September?
Join us canalside in Hackney Wick for ‘Canalside Sessions’ where master conga player Williams Cumberbache and special guests lead proceedings from Grow’s outdoor floating stage whilst you enjoy brunch classics with Grow twists from our kitchen and drinks menu.
Kick back on our garden terrace and watch boats float down the River Lea whilst you treat yourself to hearty, homemade food, and signature to the backdrop of world-class live music.
What can I eat and drink at Grow?
Eating
Enjoy a fusion of Middle eastern, Mediterranean and Modern British plates and sharers made with seasonal ingredients and sourced from sought-out suppliers, always with handmade touches.
Drinking
We’re proud to partner with esteemed breweries, St Austell and Signature Brewery, to bring you an exceptional range of Draft Beers. But that’s not all - we also serve vibrant Organic Wines and Prosecco that are sure to delight your palate.
Looking for a twist on the classics? Try our Rum Punch, or our Vegan & Organic Espresso Martini. For those who like a bit of heat, our in-house infused Jalapeño Tequila is perfect for crafting spicy margaritas.
If you’re not drinking, we’ve got you covered. Choose from our selection of live cultured drinks, CBD, raw cacao hot chocolate, and Union Coffee. We also offer a variety of Hackney Herbal Teas. And if you’re in the mood for something special, we mix custom mocktails to order and have non-alcoholic beer on hand.
