We’re celebrating the launch of Issue 9 of climate change magazine ‘It’s Freezing in LA!’ this summer with a party at Grow Hackney.
On 1st July we’ll be hosting 3 sets spanning a range of musical artistry. Starting with classical Indian music, Grow Hackney’s canalside terrace will channel hypnotic melodies through Sitar player Tommy Khosla, and Tabla player Mahesh.
We'll also be joined by the experimental dance and jazz outfit Mama Sutra, and finally we’ll have a special showcase in live electronic music by Benomorph before DJs Hiren Parmar, Spencer Finch & Matthew Besley round off the evening.
Our parties are a celebration of all the incredible people dedicated to raising concerns about our changing climate and to those working behind the scenes of every issue. We’d love you to meet and join us on the 1st July!

Our passion is for the cooking of the Middle East and southern Mediterranean so expect punchy flavours, warm spices and as always the best ingredients we can find to comfort and nourish the soul.
With our drinks, we partner with breweries St Austell and Signature Brew for our lagers and IPAs and serve organic wine and prosecco which help international wildlife charity, Born Free. We design our own drinks such as Vegan Hemp White Russian and homemade Hackney Spiced Rum.
