My Analog Journal’s Youtube channel has over 500k subscribers and regularly hosts sets from guests DJs playing sets focused on niche sounds from around the world such as Brazilian funk, Thai Luk Thung, Soviet jazz, Afro-funk, and Japanese city pop, as well as sets from Zag himself.
Back in 2015, Zag, being passionate about film photography, would go on a lot of trips in the countryside where he would take a lot of pictures using analog cameras. He would then post them on the YouTube and Instagram accounts, called ‘My Analog Journal’. But eventually, by also posting content about music on vinyl; the music content began to gain a lot more traction than analog photography and Zag has focused on the music since to great effect.
