As part of our ongoing Grow At Home programme of online events we meet local artists who share insights into their work & practice and engage in an interactive Q&A with the audience.
This event will be streamed live on our Facebook & Youtube page
Join us at 6pm on Tuesday 9 February where we meet east London based painter Gina Southgate. Gina has made a name for herself over the last 30 years as an artist who paints live, mostly at jazz and improv gigs; composing her pictures in real time or as a collaboration with musicians in responsive interactive abstraction. Originally trained as a silversmith, she is an educator who has taught from community groups to degree level and has a long-standing artistic partnership with the NHS. She also paints landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes. Her talk will brush on all of these aspects of her work and her journey.
This event is part of a cultural programme of events celebrating the creativity and diversity of Grow’s events programme and is supported by the Government’s Cultural Recovery Grant, administered by Arts Council England
