One Style MDV, a London Reggae band who have been playing together for 30 years. Hailed by their peers they have shared the stage with Aswad, Gregory Isaacs, Misty In Roots, Asian Dub Foundation, Maxi Priest, The Mad Professor, as well as 2 UK tours supporting Joe Strummer and The Latino Rockabilly War.
You may know Jah Revelation Muzik as Roots and Cultures specialist, but don’t let that fool you as the Soundsystem are able to play anything from Hip-Hop, Soul to any other genre you can think of. Formed out of the fusion of King Rastfari, Fugitive and Revelation in 1980. Jah Revelation Muzik has toured with MCs such as Culture, Ambassador, MC Troopa, Preacher Levi as well as DJ/MC Cecil Reuben The Selecta.
12 years ago the group secured a residency spot at Hootananny, where they have hosted bands every Thursday ever since.

There are a limited amount of tables available to book of varying sizes and there are plenty of spaces available for walk ups on any event day.
One Style MDV have always maintained their aim to play live music which is what they have enjoyed the most. Their unconventional simple line up of bass, guitar and drum has surprised audiences due to their overall sound, the dynamics they create and the movement within their music which has always set them apart from the rest. Joining them on vocals we have Gaven of Korus fame.
The bands objective has always been to ensure that their lyrics had meaning which are uplifting or encourages the listener to think about themselves and the world we live in to compliment the music. Incorporated with their individual personal influences that range from classic reggae, roots and culture, soul, blues, jazz, ska, rock, Hip Hop etc, its difficult to pigeon hole the band or put them in a single category although they have been compared to Steel Pulse, Sly and Robbie, The Wailers, Burning Spear and even The Police.

Our Spice Trail inspired menu is predominantly plant based, with some ethically sourced meat options, as part of our conscious drive towards sustainability. Our passion is for the cooking of the Middle East and southern Mediterranean so expect punchy flavours, warm spices and as always the best ingredients we can find to comfort and nourish the soul.
With our drinks, we partner with breweries St Austell and Signature Brew for our lagers and IPAs and serve organic wine and prosecco which help international wildlife charity, Born Free. We design our own drinks such as Vegan Hemp White Russian and homemade Hackney Spiced Rum.
