SHEDDING HISTORIES W/ DEATH IS NOT THE END (NTS)

  • Grow 98c Wallis Road London, England, E9 5LN United Kingdom (map)

Shedding Histories is an evening session of reflective listening featuring a diverse selection of acoustic & electronic blends.

This episode of Shedding Histories will feature DJ and record label, Death Is Not The End exploring their impressive catalogue of archival and ethnomusicological sounds. Their previous releases have entailed the sounds of solo American Primitive-style guitar, traditional music from the North Caucasus, Greek rebetika, Cajun, Jamaican doo-wop, Japanese ryukoka, early Flamenco recordings, a line of pirate radio-based mixtapes and more.

The evening will also feature sets from Shedding Histories residents Chameleonas, Bena and Jazz Naila, taking a dive into a diverse range of underground sounds. So join us and settle in for a cosy evening of explorative listening.

Our Spice Trail inspired menu is predominantly plant based, with some ethically sourced meat options, as part of our conscious drive towards sustainability. Our passion is for the cooking of the Middle East and southern Mediterranean so expect punchy flavours, warm spices and as always the best ingredients we can find to comfort and nourish the soul.

With our drinks, we partner with breweries St Austell and Signature Brew for our lagers and IPAs and serve organic wine and prosecco which help international wildlife charity, Born Free. We design our own drinks such as Vegan Hemp White Russian and homemade Hackney Spiced Rum.
