GROW’S EVENT CALENDAR

Grow is independent and grassroots with international impact. Local and emerging artists are programmed alongside international artists.

Since GROW opened our doors in 2014, we’ve hosted 250+ events each year and had over 150,000 people through our doors.

Young musicians have jammed with Abass Dodoo (Ginger Baker band), Japanese contemporary dancers and indigenous didgeridoo masters from Australia, to name just a few. Our artist partners credit the collaborations, regularity of exposure and payments as helping them hone their craft. Those for come to Grow for the entertainment, food and drink experience a span of genres and together we celebrate diverse culture from around the globe to down the road.

MAKIN’ MOVES W ABEL // DEEP SOULFUL HOUSE

"The Makin’ Moves boys are back for their final event of 2023, joining them will be Abel celebrating his recent “Cosmic Law” album release on Atjazz Records’ Co. for a night of Deep Soulful House.

Matt & Jamesey have probably had their busiest year since the pandemic, culminating with their feature in the summer edition of Faith Magazine and this month celebrating their 200th label release. If you haven’t been to one of their events think, smiling people, quality soulful music with dancers getting down.. Everyone is welcome in our house!

The boys will be joined on the night by Abel aka Steve Butler who will be making the trip down from the north east. From catching the house bug in the late 80s as a devout collector, his DJ career went from strength to strength. It saw him perform across some of the UK’s most prestigious nights including the Southport Weekender, not to mention internationally.

Our passion is for the cooking of the Middle East and southern Mediterranean so expect punchy flavours, warm spices and as always the best ingredients we can find to comfort and nourish the soul.

With our drinks, we partner with breweries St Austell and Signature Brew for our lagers and IPAs and serve organic wine and prosecco which help international wildlife charity, Born Free. We design our spin on such drinks as Rum Punch, homemade Hackney Spiced Rum and Espresso Martini.

Disco Freaks & Friends returns to Grow for the final time in 2023 on Saturday 25 November. So you and all your pals are invited to celebrate with them on the last leg of their wild 10th Anniversary Tour.

What better way to shake off that winter chill then by getting all hot (but not bothered) to six hours from the worlds of boogie, funk, house, and all the good stuff that goes between.

There will of course be their fave stellar DJs joining them behind the decks so keep your eyes and ears peeled as to who they will be.
