Artists of the Grow Community - The Line Up!

FRIDAY 19th

Since we opened in 2014, we’ve worked with, and celebrated, artists and genres from across the globe to down the road. Since the 1990’s Hackney Wick has been a hub of artistic activity as artists moved into the warehouses of the area to make them their creative home.

For many years, Hackney Wick had the highest concentration of artists per square foot in the whole of Europe. However, rising rents and rapid redevelopment has changed the landscape, with many artists moving from the area with studios/art spaces replaced with luxury new builds.

However, there is still artists living and working in in Hackney Wick and surrounding areas, many who helped shape Grow into what it is today. The Friday night of our birthday weekend is a nod to the roots of Grow with long term and new collaborators, accompanied by DJs who been part of the fabric for a long time making appearances. These artists have been in the line up at the many Hackney Wick Arts Festival and Open Studios, V&A Lates and other flagship events.

We’re excited to bring us all together to share flavour and the legacy of Hackney Wick and the venue itself. Don’t miss this!
