Supporting Grassroots Culture: A New Chapter for 2025 at Grow
As 2025 begins, we want to share some updates about our event entry pricing. Starting in February, we’ll be introducing a small increase in ticket prices. This decision hasn’t been made lightly, but it reflects the reality of rising costs, inflation, and bills, as well as the need to fairly compensate the artists and promoters we work with—who we truly value and hope you do too.
At Grow, we’ve always prioritised community over profit. That’s why we’ll continue to offer free entry before 9 PM on weekends, ensuring that our events remain accessible to everyone. For those who want to plan ahead, early bird pre-sale tickets will continue to start from £5, and tickets on the door will range from £8 - £10.
We’re also proud to continue offering a range of free events, including our ‘Canalside Sessions’, ‘Not the Usual Jam’, and £5 entry nights for live music midweek, as well as our weekly ‘Jazz Jam’ and ‘My Word’ spoken word and poetry event. Our commitment to diverse programming is at the heart of what we do, and we hope it’s as important to you as it is to us.
This modest £2-3 increase will help us sustain and support the grassroots music scene, the incredible artists we host, and the promoters who bring it all together. We’ve always prided ourselves on being affordable and serving our community. This small increase helps us keep going and our doors open. Your support not only helps keep our venue alive but also uplifts art and culture across the UK.
Join us this January for ‘Join in Jan’, where all of our events throughout the month are completely free. We want to create a space for people to come together, socialise, and enjoy themselves during what can often be a difficult and isolating time. It’s our way of saying thank you for your continued support and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to enjoy our community and the arts, regardless of their budget.
Thank you for being part of our community and for standing with us to support grassroots venues like ours. Together, we can continue to create a space where music, art, and culture thrive as we head into our 11th year.
