Women of the Wick - Artist in Residence

Sara Kärpänen is the latest artist to take over the eco-pod in Grow Studios and this month she launches the Women of the Wick project where she invites local artists to talk about their creative work, the highs and lows of being an artist and everything from sex to social media, mental health, and the future of the artistry scene in London.

The project aims to create a safe and supportive environment to help others in their creative paths—and to celebrate and give a voice to the talented group of diverse women in the area.

Sara will also be part of the open studios on Saturday 8th December 11-5pm and the project will culminate in an event including a panel discussion and a night of live music, screenings and poetry readings.

The podcast series will be streamed through Wick Radio and you can keep up to date on Women of the Wick blog.
