Grow is independent and grassroots with international impact. Local and emerging artists are programmed alongside international artists.
Since GROW opened our doors in 2014, we’ve hosted 250+ events each year and had over 150,000 people through our doors.
Young musicians have jammed with Abass Dodoo (Ginger Baker band), Japanese contemporary dancers and indigenous didgeridoo masters from Australia, to name just a few. Our artist partners credit the collaborations, regularity of exposure and payments as helping them hone their craft. Sweet Ones crew return to Grow for a night of deep cuts and multi-genre selections creating a vibrant dancefloor and energy within our warehouse space.
ABOUT THE DJS
Ben Hauke crafts deep, percussive club cuts, blending bruk, house, UK funky, techno and jazz-infused electronics. With releases on Far Out Recordings, Woop Records, and Church, he’s also worked with King Krule and Katy B, shaping a sound rooted in London’s underground. Expect bass-heavy grooves, rolling percussion, and left-field twists—this one’s set to be a heater.
A Brighter Days Family resident and Rinse FM regular, Lila is known for her deep, groove-heavy selections. Blending bruk, soulful house, and percussive club sounds, her sets are soulful yet driving, packed with bass-heavy rhythms and hypnotic energy.
A Sweet Ones resident and Subtle Radio host, Komanche delivers high-energy selections spanning house, disco, techno, garage, and breaks. Known for his sharp mixing and deep-cut selections, his sets keep the dancefloor moving from start to finish. Expect pure rhythm, bass weight, and serious groove.
Returning to Sweet Ones, Kieran Curtin brings his signature blend of deep house, minimal, disco, and everything in between. With smooth selections and effortless groove, his sets are always a journey through rhythm and vibe. Expect deep cuts, rolling energy.
Representing Groove London Garage Collective, Kishan b2b DJ Elmer bring a high-energy mix of garage, house, and club cuts. With deep selections and slick transitions, their back-to-back set promises rolling grooves, bass-heavy rhythms, and pure dancefloor energy.

BOOGIE DOWN AFRICA PRESENTED BY VOLTA45 // THE SCORPIOS LIVE // AFRO-FUNK // HIGHLIFE // SUDANESE GROOVES // RARE AFRICAN DISCO
Volta45 invites Sudanese afro-funk band The Scorpios for an intimate live session, followed by a dance floor takeover with his rare African records.
ABOUT THE NIGHT
London-based but deeply rooted in Sudan, The Scorpios fuse funk, afrobeat, and Arabic melodies into a hypnotic groove. Formed by Sudanese exiles in the ‘80s, the band now boasts a truly global lineup with members from the UK, Japan, and Jamaica. With performances at WOMAD, The Jazz Café, and major European venues, they’ve built a reputation for electrifying live shows. Their upcoming album, Lemon Barah, drops in late summer 2025.
Ghanaian DJ, record collector, and curator Volta45 is a force in global music, renowned for unearthing and sharing rare African sounds. His deep crates span highlife, afrobeat, and percussive grooves, earning him collaborations with labels like Soundway and Analog Africa. A festival favourite across the UK and Europe, Volta45 is a master of setting dance floors alight with his rich, soulful selections.

ROTATION POLICY // SOPH // HOUSE // DISCO
With 10 years in the game, Rotation Policy has become a mainstay feature in the landscape of London's nightlife and is back once again to bring you a night of funky musical exploration taking place on turntables.
ABOUT THE DJS
Taking heavy influence from club culture as it began in the US in the 1980s, their genre spanning sets are a mixture of the energetic highs of disco, hypnotic electronic music and raw house with locked grooves and packed with jazz and soul influences. They will be bringing through their handcrafted rotary mixer, giving the tone of the music a warm and impactful sound you won't find in your average club.
The special guest for this edition of Rotation Policy is none-other than Soph. A champion of all things vinyl, she has founded South London’s vinyl collective Social Records Society, as well as co-captained former record store and soon to be community owned live music venue Sister Midnight. She’s hosted and spun at a number of iconic venues across London such as Corsica Studios, Cafe 1001, Peckham Audio and the Carpet shop and played sets at We Out Here and Wide Awake festival as well as overseas at Boxout Wednesdays in Delhi.
Originating from France, Alfie Panaiotis is a DJ with a wide appreciation of all forms of electronic music, and has a keen ear for soulful rhythm. With recent sets at BBE store, Bambi E8 and Cafe 1001, Alfie has been making waves in the London scene as an emerging tastemaker. We can't wait to see the passion he brings to the dancefloor at Grow!"

N'Calma Collective returns to Grow Hackney this March 2025 to celebrate their 16th anniversary! For this special milestone, they're curating a great lineup that beautifully blends Brazilian, Afro, and World music.
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS AND DJS
The night features the captivating live band SOMA SOMA from Bristol, guest DJ KAYA M, and resident DJ TIGAS spinning vinyl all night long. Don't miss this unforgettable celebration of rhythm and culture! Soma Soma is a fantastic live act that will transport you to a new world of Afro/Brazilian music and spread pure feelings of connection, joy and nostalgia.
"Soma Soma are an 8-piece band from Bristol, UK, who offer an exciting mix of world music styles that can only be described as their own Soma Soma sound. Driving percussion, vintage horns, and hypnotic guitar lines work together to seamlessly blend Brazilian styles (Samba/Bossa Nova/Arrocha) with Africa (Highlife/Afrobeat/Soukous) genres to create something completely new and exciting. They are able to take traditional rhythms and infuse them with a modern energy that keeps the audience captivated throughout their performances. One of the most striking aspects of Soma Soma's music is the use of Portuguese lyrics in their songs, which adds an exotic and mysterious element to their sound. Kaya M has made a great mark with her bold sets, honing in on soulful blends of rocksteady, ska, and early stepper's from the 60’s to 90’s. Each month she presents a radio show on Kane FM, and works as a keys player, as part of a studio band for the record label Room in the Sky.
Brazilian DJ based in London since 2017, Tigas is a world music lover, record collector and an event producer. Co-founder and member of N'Calma Collective since 2009, Tigas has developed a work that brings people together collaborating as a collective, aiming to discover and share new artists and worldwide culture. His music research flies between Brazilian genres & World Music. Jazz, Bossa Nova, Samba, MPB, North Brazilian, Afro-beat, Tropicalia, Funk & Soul, Reggae, Disco, Hip-hop, Chillout and more.

GROW LIVE: DOLLARS TRIO // EP LAUNCH
To celebrate the launch of River in the Sky, the full 8-piece Dollars Trio live band will be performing at Grow. Expect an evening of captivating melodies and immersive grooves.

Dollars Trio returns with River in the Sky, their hotly anticipated EP that blends smoked-out southern soul with the cinematic flair of spaghetti western soundtracks. This new release showcases the remarkable vocal talents of Andreya Triana (Bonobo, Flying Lotus, Quantic) and Adeleye Omotayo (Amy Winehouse, Gorillaz, Matthew Herbert), adding depth and soul to their already rich sound.
Building on the success of their debut EP Wild West, which garnered support from Huey Morgan at BBC6 Music and earned them comparisons to acclaimed acts like Khruangbin, BADBADNOTGOOD, Menahan Street Band, and Hermanos Gutiérrez, Dollars Trio continues to push the boundaries of their unique sound.
To celebrate the launch of River in the Sky, the full 8-piece Dollars Trio live band will be performing at Grow, Hackney Wick on the 25th of September, 2024. Expect an evening of captivating melodies and immersive grooves as the band brings their latest project to life in an intimate, vibrant setting.

Since their partnership began in 2017, this remarkable jazz duo has mesmerised audiences with their seamless blend of ethereal harp sounds and soulful saxophone melodies. Their music draws on rich jazz traditions, but it’s their innovation and improvisation that truly set them apart. This concert promises to be a captivating musical journey, exploring the connection between seasoned mastery and fresh creativity.
Tony Kofi, a two-time BBC Jazz Award winner, has played with some of the greatest names in jazz, including Ornette Coleman and The World Saxophone Quartet. His powerful, versatile saxophone style—ranging across alto, baritone, soprano, and tenor saxophones—has made him one of the UK’s leading jazz multi-instrumentalists. Kofi’s performances are a masterclass in jazz expression, and this is a rare opportunity to experience his talent in an intimate setting.
Alina Bzhezhinska is one of the world’s leading harpists and a true innovator in contemporary jazz. Known for her genre-defying work, she has collaborated with top artists such as Kamaal Williams, DJ Spinna, and Shabaka Hutchings. As a soloist and with her HipHarpCollective, she’s performed at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall, North Sea Jazz Festival, and Edinburgh International Festival. Alina’s fusion of classical harp with modern jazz, as heard on her critically acclaimed albums Inspiration and Reflections, has pushed the boundaries of what the harp can achieve. Their latest duo album, Altera Vita, will be released in 2024.
Supporting these luminaries are rising star Menelik Claffey on electric bass and drummer Matt Holms, whose dynamic performances provide the rhythmic heartbeat for this exceptional ensemble. Claffey's deep grooves and melodic sensibility, paired with Holms' energetic touch, perfectly complement the duo's artistry.
