Grow X Signature Brew
We’ve worked with Signature Brew since 2017 and last month, we were lucky enough to bring some of the Grow team down for an in-person tour, to see how things work at their brewery, and discuss our most exciting collaboration yet - Grow’s own birthday beer!
We have always been proud to work with Signature Brew, who, like us, are on a mission to unite people through providing sustainable local drinks, great music and unforgettable experiences. They also share our commitment to the community and the environment and are the only brewery to have won SIBA’s prestigious Brewery Of The Year Award twice (2018 & 2021). Their state-of-the-art brewery/music venue is in Blackhorse Road, where their flagship beers such as Studio Lager and Roadie IPA have been created.
As part of our birthday celebrations, we’ve brewed our own 10th anniversary Grow beer: Milestone: Rum Punch Sour. Based on one of our favourite ‘signature’ classic Rum Punch cocktail. This fruited sour beer is a perfect harmony of flavours and aromas, designed to elevate your senses just like the music that has filled our venue over the past decade.
Style: Fruited Sour
ABV: 5%
Pouring a light orange hue, Milestone is exceptionally hazy, topped with a rich white foam that invites you to take your first sip. The scent is captivating, with notes of pineapple and fresh orange skin wafting from the glass, promising a deliciously tart experience.
Milestone begins with a burst of fresh pineapple flavour, swiftly followed by a sharp hint of orange juice. This dynamic duo of fruit flavours is perfectly balanced by a light sweetness, which helps to cut through the sharpness and leaves a refreshing, drinkable finish. The beer culminates in a sour-bitter note, with a hoppy orange juice taste reminiscent of a fruit punch or a mimosa.
The body is medium to light, with a smooth and satisfying texture that is complemented by medium carbonation, making every sip lively and enjoyable.
